Well, its been more than 4 months staying in Brisbane so we kind of missed a few Bruneian foods. On last Saturday, we went to West End Market (unfortunately, not a single pic was taken because the place is too crowded with people and also dogs, my camera stayed in my bag). The kids like to eat bananas, but the bananas here are a bit expensive that is about $6.99/kg in the supermarket. In the market (Tamu Brisbane ala Tamu Kiaggeh Brunei) we saw a few stalls selling bananas at $3/kg. So, we buy a kilo of bananas and because its been a while that we eat 'Cucur Pisang' (cucur pisang is my favourite back in Brunei, mother-in-law always makes this 'cucur' and the best part is I like the 'Cucur' of 'Pisang Madu' which is very sweet and really delicious if it is fried a bit crispy and a bit of 'hangus-hangus' but not too 'hangus' lah). So, because the bananas here is not suitable to make 'Cucur', we try to find a different species of bananas. Luckily in one of the stall, the farmer sell a Ladies Finger Banana (a.k.a 'Pisang Kapas') so managed to get 8 pieces of that bananas. And last night, I made 'Cucur Pisang'... at last me, 'Bapanya' and the kids really 'makan cucur pisang'......
