My new little niece

As usual, my daughter memang inda mau lepaskan peluang ni kalau bab begambar...

Welcome to my new little niece. Borned on the 10/10/2008. She is so cute, we called her baby Nurin but we don't know her name yet. By brother-in-law belum bagi nama. Memandai aku ah kan bagi-bagi nama gelaran hehehe....

Izzah

This is Izzah (again.... hehehe). Jangan salah sangka ah, this baby looks like a boy, tapi girl actuallynya. Today she had her shot in the clinic. The weight is now 5.5 kg. Cute and a bit gendut. By the way, kalau inda silap the name is Nur Alya Adriana Wafiah binti Abdul Rahman.

Intan, Azib, Iffah & Izzah

My new grand-daughter (cough* cough *)... adui muda-muda sudah jadi grandma hehehe, the name is Izzah, born on the 12th of July., cucu number 4. Number 5 coming this December, Insya-Allah. Me, baru meliat this little baby when I went home to Brunei last time.

I was admitted to Greenslopes Hospital in Brisbane on Friday 22nd August for my renal biopsy under CTscan guided. With no family around, I just pray and 'Tawwakal'. My fellow good friends are there during the procedure to support me, especially the three ladies, Ka Mardiah (my cousin), Ka Rosita and Ka Surinah (my good friends in OZ). Terima Kasih banyak2 ahh kawan-kawan. Anyway, cakap brunei saja ah ;)... ok sambung cerita, we go there about jam 8.30 pagi naik teksi. Jantung pun bedebuk2 pasal kabak2 and anxiety and so so many things in my mind hehehe. Anyway, when we arive to that hospital, kami nda tau dimana kan masuk, pasalnya the teksi hantar kami arah different area, suppose to be, I should tell the drive to hantar us ke main entrance of that hospital, but mulut ku mumu almaklum kabak2. Anyway, we went to the out patient area, then the lady told us to go somewhere??? nda ku merati cakapnya, inda paham jua apa disabutnya tampat yg kan dituju ani. Anyway, sampai sasat ke Emergency depatment, kami masuk arah reception areanya, then the nurse there bagi instruction, luckily ada very very old lady (one of the worker there), membawa dimana kan dituju dalam hospital tu.

Anyway, we went to GE and minor procedure room. Disana kami 4 org duduk2, sambil menunggu giliran. After mengisi a few forms, then I had to pay Aud$1280 for my procedure and a one night stay di ward. Mahal eh... unfortunately inda dapat dipakai my OSHC health cover insurance atu because it was my first admision here in OZ and will take about 2 weeks for the paper work. So sacrifice lah the 1.28 K atu. Anyhow, after a few assessment was done on me, about 10 pagi, kana suruh masuk rah waiting area, I was told to pakai OT gown sama just lay down on the trolley. Makin lagi takut rasanya. Patutnya I should tell bisdurang kawan2 yg menunggu diluar that I was kana panggil masuk, I thought kana panggil tuk another assessment but tarus tah tu masuk ke waiting area. I told the nurse to inform them. Luckily lah kena inform, if not, tunggu2 tah tuuuu belangau.

Then not long after, kena surung ke X-ray department. Bila sudah takut, rasa kan tekucil hehehe. Anyhow, about 10.30 pagi kana surung masuk ke CTscan room. Makin takut rasanya. The nurse was good. The doctors also baiklah, they give me moral support and not to feel takut... ehhh takut eh, siapa cakap inda takut kena cucuk with those big needles for biopsy. Tapi yg paling sakit when the doctor inject me with the Local Anesthethic. Tekajut and terkecuttt olehnya. They do 3 Cscan on me inorder to make sure the needle gauze was right on my left lower cortex of my kidney. Terasa something poking inside of my perut. Eeeee.... takuttt... cukup sekali I agree for such procedure.

Alhamdulillah after the procedure over, luckily no pain. Tapi after about one hour plus, menangis tua because the local anesthethic sudah habis. Cannot move my body, kalau tegerak saja kaki, sudah sakit hantap. My friends tepaksa balik because tepaksa ikut jadual melawat hospital disini ani and aku tinggal sorang dlm ward 5 (renal ward). The nurses disana are very very good and concern. They give me painkiller, I was knockout after 5 minute kena inject... nyaman eh Pethidine 75mg lagi.. tidur tarus, sakit semua hilang hehehe.. Then yesterday early morning after everythings ok and settle, I was discharged... Alhamdulillah... but in pain. I went home naik teksi sorang2 and when I reach home, they all tekajut to see me hehehe...

Anyhow, it is a good experience and memory. I put these pics for my three fellow friends to see hahaha... jgn jara ah kawan2... keluar air mata ku pasal rawan hati, ada jua org meduli even though my family jauh.

Work and work and work and.....work....

EKKA (after I took these two photos, I just keep my camera in my bag...)

The new semester started more than a month ago, and now is my week 5 in uni. So many workload to do. I had my clinical attachment last 2 weeks in the Mental Health setting... no comment about it hehehe... scary, fun and sometimes makes me crazy tooo hahaha. Anyway, I did managed to go to EKKA in RNA showground in Brisbane last week. It was fun, crazy, thousands of peoples were there and I went there twice hehehe, just like what had happened in 2006, went to Ekka twice too. Paid the ticket for Aud$16 and there I bought 31 boxes of perfumes... worth of Aud$1700 but I paid for a small amount of $$.....heheheh. *sigh*... I guess this will be my last EKKA here in OZ. I have another 10 months to go (yeahoo...) with my study. Can't wait for all these things to be over but for sure will miss my life in OZ when I go home for good. Anyway, since I was busy, I used to forget to bring along my camera. I am not as active as before. Not in the mood to go clicking around... I don't know what happened. Could be I was bored or could be I totally forgot how to click2 around with my gear heheheh... Well, september is around the corner. I just can't wait to see the River Festival in Brisbane City, hopefully this will be my third time attending this festival, never miss it since two years ago.

The house under renovation, this pic were send by my sister thru email. The house was built in 1989 (if I am not mistaken), two storey (diatas dinding kayu, dibawah dinding simin hehehe), the renovation start dari siring sebalah kiri... kind of membasarkan keluasan rumah (almaklum, cucu banyak udah kekeke). Well, actually there are more pics, unfortunately, banyak tia jua kereta besadaian dapan rumah ani, so expose tia krg plat lesen kereta my bro and sis (I don't want to do that tho). Hopeffuly my sis will send me the next stage of renovation soon coz I just can't wait to see...

The birthday party

Hello peeps...

It's been a long time since I updated my blog. I have been very very busy with my end of semester exam in June and now I am having my clinical prac in one of the hospital in Brisbane (RBWH-Royal Brisbane Women Hospital). This is my second week working in the general medical ward.. and I just can't wait for it to be over... 2 more days then I am free hehehe... will have a 10 days end of semester break. Then off I go to have another prac in TPCH (The Prince Charles Hospital) in Chermside and will do Mental Health prac then.

Here I got a few pics, taken when I went home a few weeks ago, just a short study leave actually, but it was the best because we have a birthday celebration for my daughter (Intan), Ayang (my sis) and my little niece (Adiq).

The house in 'kampong' also undergone a renovation... I will miss my old home hehehe, anyway, really looking forward to see the outcome if I have the chance to go home to Brunei during Ramadhan and Eids Mubarak.

Hi peps. Its been a while since my last update. Had a BBQ gathering on the 24th May with some closed friends. Luckily Ka Sur wake me up around 8.30 am, if not, for sure I will sleep till noon. The night before I had to do my nursing research assignment, and it took me till 3.30 am doing my work. I just can't stop becoz my ideas was flowing... hehehe. Anyway, the BBQ was really awesome and crikey... :) had lambs, beefs, chicken wings, baby octupus, squids and banana prawns (emmm yummy...). Ka Shamilah fried some Hokkien Noodles. Ka Rozy made her Sushi. Hj Rahman bought ginger beer... and I do loved ginger beer and had 3 bootles that day hehehe. If I am not mistaken, we started the BBQ at 10.30 am (or 11 am). While the gengs do the things, I made a special birthday cake for the birthday girl Syafiqah (daughter of Ka Shamilah & Hj Rahim) who turned 9 yrs old last week. I made a chocolate mud cake, with caramel toppings and sprinkled with loads of chocolate rice. Emm... thats is really yummy. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the photos.... man... anyway, wished I had my Canon with me... so I did take a few photos with my compact digital (duhh..) and its better then no pics taken right?? The gathering ended around 4 or 5 pm... (hemm... I forgot the time hehehe). Me, Shamilah and the kids, did go for a dip in the swimming pool and it was really freezing cold... man.. its winter meehhh... hehehe....ok dokey... till next time...

While checking my photos collection, I 'terkejumpahan' with this pic. Maybe 'Bunga Kuduk-kuduk'... took this photos months ago while me and my family 'lepak-lepak' at our family 'Kebun'. Was practicing my macro... but for sure will need a macro lense if my budget allows me too hehehe...

Makan Doa Selamat

Me and my friends had made some plans for our 'makan-makan' gathering, so we chose the day - Saturday (on the 3rd of May) and we decided to call a few closed friends who lives around Kelvin Grove and one good friend from Logan. The 'Makan-makan' was for 'Doa Selamat' for our coming exam in June. We were hoping that we can pass our end of semester exam with flying colours. As usual, we used the left over money that we collected few weeks ago to buy the grocerries for our 'makan-makan' and some friends also brings foods for 'sedekah'. May God (Allah) blessed us all... AMIN...

Adventure to Sea World, Goldcoast.

Tickets booths, near the entrance, as that day was Saturday, so many visitors come and we have to wait for our turn to buy tickets which cost us Aud$33 (offered price for resident, we are considered as one, because we are students, the original pricing is Aud$66)

Just wanna show you people where to get Halal foods, its a buffet type restaurant, so each person (adult) have to pay for Aud$23.95 and the kids, just pay according to their age. The foods are really good, we loved it, and a couple of friends (including me hehehe) tend to have 2nd and 3rd round.

On the 26th April, me and my friends went to Sea World, Goldcoast. We have been making plans for this journey since weeks ago. So of course we are really excited and really looking forward for this moment. We rent a van (12 seaters van actually), then on that day, me, Hj Rahim + Shamilah & their 4 kids, Ka Surinah and Brother Ahmad started our fun journey. Unfortunately a few other friends can't come with us because of others commitment (especially assignments hehehe). There, I bought a few souveniors, especially the things with Sea World name on it. I even bought two caps, one cap named Bay Shark and the other one is Sesame Street Beach, Grovy. Ok, I put a few pics... so, enjoy....

The cooking activity...

My friends: Rozi, Rosita, Ka Mardiah (yg pakai baju oren, tangan nya saja nampak, mukanya inda nampak) & Shamilah, while they do the cooking things, the hubby babysits the kids ;) Rozi was cutting the shortcrust pastry, Rosita and Ka Mardiah filling the pastry with the cornbeef and Shamilah brushed the pastry with egg.

This is our first recipe, Triple Chocolate Mud Cake... wah the test so sedap mehh... really chocolate flavour test loh... my favourite ;) Top with Milk Chocolate and thin pieces of white chocolate on top.

The second recipe, Teddies' Picnic Pillow, this test good too, the fillings is Cornbeef (bawa dari Brunei) cooked with pineapples, peas and corn.

Third recipe, Kids' Quiches, paling laris hehehe, sorang makan sampai dua biji. A very simple quiche actually, the fillings are beef luncheon added with mushroom, fresh parsley and tomato.

Me and my friends had set up the day today for our gathering and our first ever cooking class. As for my self, I think I am considered to be the cooking instructor hehehe (perasannnn...) I choose three recipes for today, so all the cooking materials was prepared in the morning. My friends come over to my apartment about 2.30 pm. They are Shamilah + hubby + her three kids, Rozi + hubby + 2 kids, Rosita with her son and Mardiah. We do enjoy our gathering because we don't have any other family other than us. So, it is a good experience for us and good eating hahaha... the next gathering could be on the 3rd of May, as next saturday we will have an outing activity. Kalau di Brunei nie, dapat jual sudah makanannya... hehehe
